For the 2025 Red Carpet Revue, ON21 produced prerecorded director reflections, rapidly prepared attendee interviews for the opening, and recorded the live celebration where those stories, awards, speeches, performances, and audience reactions came together. The result preserved a season of work onstage and behind the scenes as one connected experience.

The recording challenge
Preserve a celebration that kept changing shape.
The program was more than a sequence of podium speeches. It moved between planned recognition and the spontaneous moments that made the theatre community visible.
Formal award presentations led into unscripted acceptance speeches, emotional reactions, audience laughter and applause, and recognition shared by youth and adult participants.
ON21-produced director reflections, rapidly prepared attendee interviews, other prerecorded segments, organizational history, and live entertainment added more shifts in tone. ON21’s planned prerecorded contributions were the director videos and rapid edit of the attendee interviews; the live recording then needed to hold the entire program together as one celebration rather than a collection of isolated stage moments.
From arrivals to opening cue
The storytelling began before the awards.
Before the formal program, the Fond du Lac Community Theatre president welcomed attendees to an interview area in front of the theatre’s branded backdrop.
The attendee interviews were recorded before the program. ON21 rapidly edited the newly captured footage for playback at the beginning of the same event, allowing people gathering in the room to become part of the program itself.
This connected the arrivals to the opening cue instead of treating the interviews as separate material after the fact.
The same-evening interview edit was a specially planned rapid-turnaround production element for this event. It is scoped separately and is not automatically included with every event-recording project.

The work spanned director stories prepared before the event, attendee voices gathered during arrivals, and the live multicamera recording of the Revue itself. Each part served the same goal: preserving the people behind the theatre season.

A record of the organization
The ceremony also carried the theatre’s history.
The Red Carpet Revue documented more than current-season awards. It connected the organization’s present community to the work that built it.
A prerecorded history segment celebrated the 30th anniversary of Fond du Lac Community Theatre’s purchase of the Firehouse building.
ON21-produced director reflections, volunteer recognition, youth participation, and awards for behind-the-scenes service preserved the wider story of how the organization continues from one season to the next.
Value beyond the night
The complete record became useful source material.
Footage from the 2025 recording later provided source material for promotion of the following Red Carpet Revue.
Because the program preserved recognition, stories, reactions, and organizational context, the organization could return to a structured record when planning how to introduce the event’s return.
That continued value did not require the original recording to promise a marketing result. It came from retaining authentic, approved moments that could be considered for a different purpose later.
